SCARS & MEDICAL NEEDLING
Medical skin needling has been proved to be very effective in the treatment of acne scars as well as inducing new collagen production for the total facial rejuvenation. Medical skin needling involves the use of an instrument called Dermapen. This instrument is able to mechanically create tiny little puncture marks in the skin to induce natural collagen production. It works on the same principal as lasers without the risk of adverse side effects such as thermal burns or hyperpigmentation of the skin. Usually a series of treatments is required over a period of 6 months to get maximum benefit. This treatment has been particularly useful in reducing acne scarring and is also very useful tool for producing facial skin tightening.
